Everything you need to know about Fangoria, but were afraid to ask. Essential magazine for all things horror.

Ok lovers of horror let me walk you through this must have magazine. You have your "postal zone" where horror fans can complain to the masses about remakes and sequels.Your "Monster Invasion": for up to the minute newsbreaks and other horrible happenings.The Dvd chopping list with literally every horror movie coming out on dvd in the months to come with a tiny synopsis to get the gist, wash that down with the fear film forecast, basically every horror movie coming to the theater in the next year or so.Creep and crawl along to the Video eyes of Dr. Cyclops where he rates new dvd titles on a scale of 0-4 eyeballs, and gives his video of the month.Then we have the "guts" of the magazine filled to the point of internal combustion with an in depth look at new features, on set interviews with cast and crew, and behind the scenes information. If it looks killer it gets the FANGO SEAL OF APPROVAL, my experience is if it gets that generally there flicks possibly to die for.Now let's crawl to the DVD Dungeon where we get even more dvd reviews of notable upcoming horror releases, also with a dvd of the month selection.Then a little bit of fango "comic screams" some horror comics Fangoria style.The Horrorcade for you ghouls when watching carnage isn't enough and you feel you have to partake this section will help you pick out the newest and best Xbox360, Playstation 2 or 3 games etc.Let's pay some homage to our demons of the past with the Forgotten Horror section reviewing some of our older nightmares.What about books you ask? I mean if i don't I'm a "Psycho" there's only a handful of months left before It's "Halloween", so i think I'll "Mimic" Mike and I won't procrastinate and wait "28 Days Later" to order this magazine like my fellow "Freaks" it's Blood Simple" and once you do they'll need the "Jaws" of life to pry it out of your hands.

I always enjoyed going grocery shopping with my mom -- while she shopped, I hung out in the magazine section reading Mad, Cracked, and FANGORIA. Now, 25 years later -- I finally got my own subscription -- and unlike retro video games, nostalgic 80's cd's, and Members Only jackets, this is just as good as I remember.It gives the inside scoop on the up coming major studio horror releases, the low down on independent, if not underground, extreme horror DVD's, and, as always has awesome pictures of rocking special gore effects.Any fan of the horror genre would love this magazine. It is a great read and a lot of fun.

Finally something fresh.

I know "Interview" has been around awhile, but I just recently got into it. In short, if you're into the arts, it's your magazine. It touches on music, movies, fashion, and everything inbetween. And often the interviews of celebrities are done by other celebs, like "Jim Jarmusch" doing a Q&A with "The White Stripes", just like they're sitting in a room chatting, very casual. I like that. Also the photography is tops, and often takes up the whole page (good mini-posters). They're good about not exposing the same old people too, lots of fresh faces, usually cool. Hey, if it's good enough for "Andy Warhol", it can't be bad, huh?

Fantastic Magazine

Interview is a small magazine with big ambitions. All the latest news in entertainment, fashion, and politics can be found within it's colorful pages. The photography is amazing, and grand in scale, although the magazine is packed full of ads (which are equally as colorful I might add). This is NOT entertainment weekly- Interview is the indi-film of magazines, and the people and films it covers are not usually those found in typical magazines. Instead of focusing on the actor du jour, Interview covers the up & coming, the soon to be, and the undiscovered. The interview formats are fascenating and unique, as most are done by celebrities, of celebrities. If one is looking for typical hollywood gossip, Warhol's masterpiece is not for them. At such a cheap price, Interview is a gem that is yet undiscovered by many. I highly recommend it!

No Magazines for Subscribers

Interview has been hit with a number of production problems over the last couple of years. The dual editors Glenn O'Brien and Fabien Baron coulnd't agree on content so Baron leaves in January of 09. Art directors M/M Paris come in for three issues but leave when they aren't paid. O'Brienn leaves in the summer of '09 and Baron comes back. The result? Well, the magazine never comes on time (up to 2 Months late, if at all!) There is also a lot of doubling up the months, instead of October and November issues there is one October/November issue combo, same with December and January.And this is written on February 7, and still no February issue of the magazine has been mailed.So subscribe at your own risk, because who knows if Interview is going to be around long enough to fulfill your subscription. And at $6 an issue, it is really not worth buying it on the newsstand.And to update, it is now March 15 and I have received no February issue OR March issue.Here is Interview's response:"We regret to inform you that our February issue will be delivered latedue to production delays.Please allow until March 10, 2010 for delivery of this issue.We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.Second Update: May 2ndNo February Issue. No March Issue. No April Issue. No May issue.Called up Interview and cancelled my subscription and demanded a full refund for services not rendered.FINAL UPDATE: I asked for a complete refund and GOT IT! They are a lot faster mailing out their refund checks than their magazine!!!!!So again, do not waste your money on a subscription to Interview- you will not be mailed any magazines.

In Touch with Celebs

Yeah, In Touch magazine is basically fluff when compared to world events, but I like their kind of fluff. This class of magazine is celebrity driven without being what I would classify a tabloid (i.e. Star or The National Inquirer). In comparison, In Touch magazine most closely relates to US Weekly and People. Of these three magazines, In Touch has the best quality and quantity of photographs. In Touch's article's aren't as good as US Weekly's, but with a much lower cover price it's worth picking up one when in line at the grocery store. On the other hand, if you are looking to subscribe to a weekly magazine, US Weekly is a better bet because their usual subscription price is $.1.00 per issue versus their $3.50 cover price per issue. Meanwhile, In Touch does not give much of a price break for subscribers. Their subscription price is $.1.49 per issue versus their $1.99 cover price per issue.

A Great Quick Read! NOT filled w/advertisements!

I began buying this back in the summer EVERY Friday when it came out, mostly because I was buying US and People and for way too much $$...this is $1.99 on the newstand and it's great! The stories are to the point, good and factual. Even my mother who isn't very much into these types of magazines started buying it. It's sort of being a bit nosey and keeping yourself up on the celebrity scene. I literally read this cover to cover and keep it by my bed. I can usually read enough stories before falling asleep...they don't go on and on and on. I'm subscribing!

Great magazine but EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with company

I have been buying InTouch since the very first issue and i havent missed any issues since. i noticed the subscription information in the magazine and it ticked me off to the extreme. You'd think that by subscribing to the magazine they would offer some sort of deal for subscribing but in this case its the exact opposite. I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada and in order to subscribe to the magazine it would cost me 187.65 canadian (139.00 american). But if I continue to buy it in the store it will only cost me 178.88 canadian. What kind of company treats its customers this way??? Im definatly not going to be buying InTouch anymore until we Canadians get some sort of deal as well. Its rather unfortunate since InTouch is such an entertaining magazine.
